Elementary Teacher Field Trip Fair

Sep 14 , 2017

All area elementary school teachers are invited to come learn about potential field trips while enjoying a teacher-only social hour. Take a much-needed breather from the first full week of school and enjoy refreshments, while meeting with local organizations to learn about curriculum-based field trips.

The Anne Springs Close Greenway is dedicated to engaging students of all ages in hands-on, interactive programming that gets them outdoors and close to nature. Nature provides the most amazing classroom and offers an opportunity for students to learn at their own pace and in their own ways, thus enhancing classroom instruction. The agencies that are participating in the Field Trip Fair collectively believe that students must be up close and involved in order to learn best. This fair offers teachers an opportunity to work with organizations who strive to create a love for learning in each and every student.

Participating organizations include Anne Springs Close Greenway, Camp Thunderbird, Carolina Aviation Museum, Catawba Nuclear Station, City of Rock Hill Parks and Recreation, Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, Discovery Place, Historic Brattonsville, Historic Rock Hill, Kings Mountain National Military Park, Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation, Historic Rosedale, SeaLife.  Thank you to event sponsors including Carolinas Healthcare System, Comporium and Domtar.
