Solar Eclipse Watch Party

Aug 21 , 2017

The Anne Springs Close Greenway is hosting a watch party for the solar eclipse set to sweep the nation on Monday, August 21. The rare natural phenomenon is the first total solar eclipse to hit the U.S. in 99 years, and the Charlotte area is located near the path of totality, allowing for almost 95% visability! Enjoy this once in a lifetime experience at one of the Carolina's most stunning outdoor settings!

In partnership with BOB Gear, the #1 Jogging Stroller, invites the community to countdown to the solar eclipse and enjoy a picnic and festive atmosphere. The first 750 visitors will receive free NASA-approved eclipse glasses. Kona Ice Fort Mill and Wilbur's Last Ride will be on site to satisfy your tastebuds.

All are welcome to join in this rare and exciting event! Greenway members receive free entry, non-members pay $5 per person park admission. Parking is $5 per car.
