What's new at the Greenway℠?

As a nonprofit organization, gifts from donors and members enable us to pursue our mission of connecting people to nature through recreational and educational activities.

Our latest projects, including the Crandall Bowles Children's Farm, Shroering Forst Playground, youth disc golf course and mountain bike skills track, bring people closer to nature in fun and exciting ways. Continue reading to learn more.

Crandall Bowles Children's Farm

The Crandall Bowles Children's Farm will serve as an educational destination for families, field trips and animal lovers of all ages. Come see the ducks, alpacas, goats, horses and more while learning about South Carolina farming, and reach out to Shea Maple to support the farm.

Schroering Forest Playground

The completion of the Schroering Forest Playground will further the Greenway’s mission by uniting families with outdoor recreation opportunities for all ages. Learn more about the playground's features and funding, and reach out to Shea Maple to support the project.

Youth Disc Golf Course

The youth disc golf course is now complete and can be found at the Adventure Road entrance. Please bring your own discs, which may also be purchased inside the Gateway Canteen at the Lake Haigler entrance, and have a great time! This youth course is perfect for beginners of all ages.

Mountain Bike Skills Track

Our forthcoming youth mountain bike skills track will serve to provide a fun, safe and equitable space for budding off-road cyclists. The track will include a variety of obstacles to practice skills necessary for riding trails. The park will add to the portfolio of activities available on the Greenway℠, contributing to a comprehensive and unique outdoor recreation experience.
