Anne S. Close and Gracie Close Sustain Injuries in Accident at White Homestead
Both Remain in Stable Condition Undergoing Further Medical Treatment
On the afternoon of Monday, August 16th, Anne Springs Close Greenway founder and namesake, Anne Close, and daughter Gracie Close (Leavenworth, WA) were struck by a falling limb from a live pecan tree near Ms. Close’s home in Fort Mill. They both sustained serious, but not life threatening, injuries and are currently being treated at Carolinas Medical Center-Main in Charlotte. The Close family appreciates the concern from the community and thanks them for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes. Out of continued respect for the family’s privacy, we will use the Greenway’s website as a channel for providing additional information as the situation develops.
