Anne Springs Close Greenway Hosts Fall Artisan Market on Saturday, October 4
Welcome the season at the Fall Artisan Market on Saturday, October 4 at the Anne Springs Close Greenway℠.
Autumn is in the air and so is the season of fresh finds at the Greenway’s Fall Artisan Market, presented by Visit York County! Mix a little retail therapy with fresh air and good vibes as 70 local vendors set up in a vibrant outdoor marketplace on the Greenway Gateway lawn. Featuring handmade goat milk products by Sunny Goat Farm, custom jewelry pieces by Gnomemade, environmentally-friendly candles by The Zenful Goat and other handcrafted goods, this is your chance to score unique treasures in an outdoor atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.
Capture the spirit of fall with a festive photo-op featuring hay bales, pumpkins and cozy blankets. Adding to the artistry of your local shopping experience, an aerial silk dancer will perform throughout the day. The Greenway Gateway (visitor’s center) will also be open, where newcomers can learn about the Greenway’s trails, activities and memberships.
Fuel your shopping spree at the Greenway Canteen with loose-leaf teas and lattes in the chilly morning or grab lunch from 11am onward. For a little extra autumn fun, enjoy seasonal cocktails while you shop and stroll. Parking is $5 per vehicle for Greenway members and $15 for non-members. If you enjoyed your visit, admission fees can be applied towards a Greenway membership.

About Anne Springs Close Greenway
Nestled amid beautiful lakes and hardwood forests, the Anne Springs Close Greenway℠ is a natural preserve more than twice the size of Central Park. Minutes south of Charlotte in Fort Mill, SC, its 2,100 acres serve as a natural buffer from urban development and provide a wide-open space for countless activities – from hiking, biking and horseback riding to picnics, kayaking and more. The land has ties to the Catawba Indians and the Civil War and has been permanently preserved for public use. The children of Anne Springs Close donated the land in honor of her lifelong commitment to recreation and the environment to provide a natural landscape for the community to enjoy. The Greenway℠ contains native plants and animals, historic buildings, a 40-mile network of trails, Greenway Gateway welcome center and facilities for weddings and other special events. As a non-profit organization, it depends on memberships, program fees, as well as private donations to support annual operations. The Greenway is owned and operated by Leroy Springs & Company Inc., a 501(c)3 organization that receives no government funding for its ongoing operations and programs.
