Anne Springs Close Greenway Hosts Great American Campout

June is Great Outdoors Month, a time to embrace the benefits of being in nature. Join the celebration by spending a night under the stars at The Great American Campout at the Anne Springs Close Greenwayâ„ , June 22-23.

The Great American Campout is a nationwide event organized by the National Wildlife Federation that encourages children to spend more time outdoors and protect wildlife. This special event unites campers across the country, and the Greenwayâ„  is thrilled to host a local campout at the Bob Reid Field Trial Barn at the Adventure Road Entrance.

Campers can participate in a variety of engaging activities, including fishing, archery, kayaking, mountain biking rentals, and night hikes to explore the natural surroundings. Children will enjoy the fort-building area and gaga ball pit, while adults can start their Sunday morning with Rise and Shine Yoga.

A campfire dinner will be provided. Bring your own breakfast; coffee will be provided. No outside alcohol or glass containers allowed. Communal firepits provided, but guests may bring one if it is supported off the ground. No outside firewood allowed; all firewood will be provided.
