Anne Springs Close Greenway Hosts Spring Artisan Market and Volunteer Blitz on Saturday, March 29

Spring into Action: Shop, Volunteer and Celebrate the Season at Anne Springs Close Greenway

Get ready for a day of sunshine, shopping and service opportunities at the Anne Springs Close GreenwaySM. On Saturday, March 29, the GreenwaySM is hosting two exciting events: the Spring Artisan Market and a Volunteer Blitz.

Spring Artisan Market
Spring is in the air and so is the season of fresh finds at the Spring Artisan Market! Mix a little retail therapy with fresh air and good vibes as 70 local vendors set up shops in a vibrant outdoor marketplace. Featuring custom items and handcrafted goods, this is your chance to score unique treasures you won’t find anywhere else.

Fuel your shopping spree with breakfast and coffee at the Greenway Canteen from 8a.m. to 10a.m. or grab lunch from 11a.m. onward, with a special menu designed to keep you energized all day. For a little extra springtime fun, enjoy seasonal cocktails while you shop and stroll. The Greenway Gateway (visitor’s center) will also be open, where newcomers can learn about the Greenway’s trails, activities and memberships.

Parking is $5 per vehicle for Greenway members and $15 for non-members (includes admission).

Volunteer Blitz
It is time for some spring cleaning at the Greenway—and we need your help! Anne Springs Close Greenway is hosting its second-ever Volunteer Blitz, a day dedicated to rolling up your sleeves and giving back to the land we love. Whether you are a first-time volunteer or a seasoned pro, this event is your chance to make a real impact on the Greenway’s trails, facilities, programs and natural areas.

Join us for a hands-on day of service as we tackle various projects across the Greenway. Volunteers will contribute to the mission of conservation, education and low-impact outdoor recreation through a variety of projects. By the end of the day, you will feel great about having helped spruce up the Greenway just in time for the busy season!

Both events offer a perfect opportunity to get involved and connect with the community, whether you are shopping for unique finds or rolling up your sleeves to help make the Greenway shine. Volunteers who participate in the Blitz receive free entry to the Artisan Market and a 15% discount at the Greenway Canteen.

About Anne Springs Close Greenway

Nestled amid beautiful lakes and hardwood forests, the Anne Springs Close Greenway℠ is a natural preserve more than twice the size of Central Park. Minutes south of Charlotte in Fort Mill, SC, its 2,100 acres serve as a natural buffer from urban development and provide a wide-open space for countless activities – from hiking, biking and horseback riding to picnics, kayaking and more. The land has ties to the Catawba Indians and the Civil War and has been permanently preserved for public use. The children of Anne Springs Close donated the land in honor of her lifelong commitment to recreation and the environment to provide a natural landscape for the community to enjoy. The Greenway℠ contains native plants and animals, historic buildings, a 40-mile network of trails, Greenway Gateway welcome center and facilities for weddings and other special events. As a non-profit organization, it depends on memberships, program fees, as well as private donations to support annual operations. The Greenway is owned and operated by Leroy Springs & Company Inc., a 501(c)3 organization that receives no government funding for its ongoing operations and programs.
