Anne Springs Close Greenway’s Summer Concert Series Returns
Under “Rooted Rhythm” Name
Live music lovers, mark your calendars! The Anne Springs Close Greenway’s beloved summer concert series is back in 2025—this time under a new name: Rooted Rhythm Music Series. While the name may be different, fans can expect the same great music, scenic atmosphere and family-friendly fun they’ve come to love at Greenway concerts.
Concerts take place every Thursday, May 8 through July 24, at the Comporium Amphitheater (291 Dairy Barn Lane, Fort Mill), an inviting outdoor venue featuring lawn-style seating under a shady tree canopy. Gates open at 5pm, with on-site food and beverage service starting at 5:30 pm. Music runs from 6 to 9 pm, providing the perfect way to wind down summer evenings with live performances and breathtaking sunset views over the Greenway.
“We’re excited to bring another season of live music to the Greenway under the Rooted Rhythm Music Series name,” said Chelsea Chesser, Outdoor Programs Director for the Greenway. “Though the branding has changed, the concert experience remains the same—a lively and welcoming community event with an incredible lineup of regional talent.”
The Greenway has consolidated all summer concerts under the Rooted Rhythm name, helping to streamline musical offerings and maintaining the same format, energy and entertainment lineup of the former Summer Concert Series that guests have enjoyed for the past 12 years.
Concertgoers can look forward to an eclectic mix of genres, from classic rock and country to tribute and party bands. The 2025 artist lineup is as follows:
- May 8: Next Level Band of Charlotte (party band)
- May 15: Smokey Jones and the 3 Dollar Pistols (country & southern rock)
- May 22: Petty Rewind (Tom Petty tribute)
- May 29: Rescheduled to July 31
- June 5: Carolina Barnburners (party band)
- June 12: Tell Me Lies (Fleetwood Mac tribute)
- June 19: Terence Young Project (party band)
- June 26: 20 Ride (Zac Brown tribute)
- July 3: NO CONCERT
- July 10: The Hitmen (party band)
- July 17: Thurston Howell (Yacht rock)
- July 24: Saddletramp (classic country)
- July 31: Party Parrot Band (Jimmy Buffet tribute | rescheduled from 5/29)
Parking is in a grass pasture and guests should anticipate a short walk to the amphitheater. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for comfortable seating on the amphitheater lawn. On-site food options will feature a rotating monthly menu; beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase. Please note: no tents, glass or outside alcohol are permitted. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.
The 2025 Rooted Rhythm Music Series is made possible with support from our presenting sponsor, Piedmont Medical Center, and supporting sponsor First Horizon Bank.

About Anne Springs Close Greenway
Nestled amid beautiful lakes and hardwood forests, the Anne Springs Close Greenway℠ is a natural preserve more than twice the size of Central Park. Minutes south of Charlotte in Fort Mill, SC, its 2,100 acres serve as a natural buffer from urban development and provide a wide-open space for countless activities – from hiking, biking and horseback riding to picnics, kayaking and more. The land has ties to the Catawba Indians and the Civil War and has been permanently preserved for public use. The children of Anne Springs Close donated the land in honor of her lifelong commitment to recreation and the environment to provide a natural landscape for the community to enjoy. The Greenway℠ contains native plants and animals, historic buildings, a 40-mile network of trails, Greenway Gateway welcome center and facilities for weddings and other special events. As a non-profit organization, it depends on memberships, program fees, as well as private donations to support annual operations. The Greenway is owned and operated by Leroy Springs & Company Inc., a 501(c)3 organization that receives no government funding for its ongoing operations and programs.
