Employee Spotlight: Andy Belich, the New Greenway Operations Director
We are thrilled to welcome Andy Belich as the new Operations Director of the Anne Springs Close GreenwaySM!
Andy brings over 18 years of leadership experience with the YMCA, where he held key roles including Associate Executive Director, Resident Camp Director and Y-Guides Director at Camp Thunderbird in Lake Wylie, SC. Throughout his career, he has led teams of over 250 staff members, launched new programs and fostered a team-oriented culture focused on exceptional guest experiences. With a passion for operations, logistics and community impact, Andy is dedicated to creating engaging and meaningful experiences for Greenway members and guests.
In his new role as Operations Director, Andy will focus on enhancing our visitor experience across the Greenway, ensuring safety, and driving positive financial outcomes for the non-profit organization. Working closely with all departments, he will oversee Outdoor Programs, Youth Programs, Farm & Stables, Food & Beverage and Guest Services, while also collaborating closely with the Natural Resources and Maintenance teams. His leadership will be instrumental in continuing the Greenway’s mission of providing a welcoming and enriching outdoor environment for all.
A Charlotte native, Andy loves spending time outdoors, especially playing golf, basketball and disc golf. He and his wife, Katie, have two children—Cooper (7) and Drew (5)—and enjoy exploring new restaurants together. He’s also a big fan of the Carolina Panthers and the Charlotte Hornets.
