Fall colors, cool night air and dinner by a warm campfire make October a great time to camp. Friday night campers can participate in the Night Owl 5k or cheer on friends from the finish line! Saturday night features old favorites like the hay-bale maze, slide wagon, s’mores, and Night Light Hike (all about owls). Campers should bring their own dinner to cook over the fire, or of course you are welcome to eat dinner at the Gateway Canteen. Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome, but please clean up after your pup. Always Leave No Trace when enjoying nature.

NEW in 2024 – This year, we are pairing the Night Owl race with the October Campout. Race registration comes with camping for 1 person on Friday night and DISCOUNTED CAMPING all weekend!

• Cost: Friday night only: $19 per person | Saturday night only: $19 per person | Friday AND Saturday night: $29 per person
• Time: Friday check-in: 4pm to 6pm | Saturday check-in: 3pm to 5pm | Check-out by 10am on your last morning
• Extras:
  • We’ll provide communal fire pits but you are welcome to bring your own as long as it is supported off the ground. 
  • No outside firewood is allowed. We will provide all firewood!
  • No outside alcohol or glass containers allowed. Beer and wine are available for purchase from the Gateway Canteen.
  • Tent camping only. No Campers, trailers, or RV’s are allowed.

Programs are rain or shine, except for severe weather. If we cancel due to severe weather, we will provide a full refund. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, we will provide a refund. If you cancel with less than 48 hour notice, you will not be eligible for a refund or the option to reschedule.
