Join the Greenway Hiking Club for one of their many hikes throughout the Greenway!  It’s a great way to learn the property and meet new friends!

Hiking Club hikes are free for members. Daily admissions fees apply to nonmembers.

Note the Greenway is open to members only Friday-Sunday.

9/2: 6pm – Lake Haigler, Approx. 3 miles Meet at the Greenway Gateway.
9/4: 9am – Pilot Mountain State Park, N.C., Approx. 3.5 miles Meet at upper parking lot at end of Pilot Knob Park Road. After the hike, visit downtown Mt. Airy, N.C. for lunch and shopping.
9/5: 10am – Hanging Rock State Park, N.C., Approx. 11 miles Meet at Visitor Center parking lot. There are shorter hike options ranging from 3 to 7 miles.
9/6: 11am – Lake Norman State Park, N.C., Approx. 5 miles Meet at the Lake Shore Trail trailhead.
9/9: 6pm – Lake Haigler, Approx. 3 miles Meet at the Greenway Gateway.
9/11: 8:30am – Horse Stables, Approx. 5 miles Meet at Horse Stables parking lot.
9/12: 11am – Blue Star, Approx. 4 miles Meet at the Blue Star entrance trailhead behind the Y Complex on Tom Hall Street.
9/14: 6pm – Dairy Barn Entrance, Approx. 3 miles Meet at Dairy Barn parking lot.
9/16: 6pm – Lake Haigler, Entrance Approx. 3 miles Meet at the Greenway Gateway.
9/18: 8am – Lake Haigler, Entrance Approx. 3 miles Meet at Greenway Gateway.
9/20: 6pm – Adventure Road Entrance, Approx. 3 miles Meet in parking lot for a 2-mile hike that ends in parking lot before adding another mile.
9/23: 6pm – Lake Haigler Entrance, Approx. 3 miles Meet at Greenway Gateway.
9/25: 8:30am – South Mountain State Park, N.C., Approx. 9 miles, also 6-mile option Meet at Jacob Fork parking area before hiking by High Shoals Falls and looping back to the parking lot. Hike is rated strenuous. Plan to stop for lunch in Lincolnton afterwards.
9/26: 11am – Dairy Barn Entrance, Approx. 3.2 miles Meet in Dairy Barn parking lot.
9/28: 6pm – Horse Stables, Approx. 2.5 miles Meet at Horse Stables parking lot.
9/30: 6pm – Lake Haigler Entrance, Approx. 3 miles Meet at the Greenway Gateway.
10/2: 9am – Riversweep, Approx. 3.1 miles The Town of Fort Mill and Anne Springs Close Greenway are teaming up to host volunteers for the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation’s Riversweep event from 9am to noon. Gather at the Dairy Barn entrance. Sign up at https://catawbariverkeeper.networkforgood.com/events/32810-catawba-riversweeep-21 and select our project site, “Catawba River Below Lake Wylie – Anne Springs Close Greenway.” We will focus on roads along Steele Creek in Fort Mill.
