This class is designed to introduce those who have never kayaked to the sport of kayaking. We will meet at the Kayak Launch and start by covering appropriate gear for kayaking and how to fit it, how to choose a safe kayaking location based on your ability and how to safely and effectively get into and out of your boat. Once we’re out on the water we will cover some basic paddling technique, teaching paddlers how to move forward, turn, stop their boats and how to reverse. This session is intended to make you feel comfortable on the water and allow you to have a fun and safe kayak experience!

Ages: Participants must be a minimum of 8 years old
Registration and cost: Cost of the program is $30 with a $5 discount for members.

If we cancel we will provide a full refund. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, we will provide a refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, we will not be able to provide a refund.
