This fun, engaging class is designed to introduce kids to the sport of kayaking! We will meet at the Kayak Launch and start by covering appropriate gear for kayaking and how to fit it, how to choose a safe kayaking location based on your ability and how to safely and effectively get into and out of your boat. Once we’re out on the water we will cover some basic paddling technique and make sure paddlers feels comfortable and confident on the water through a series of exercises and games.

Where: Lake Haigler Kayak Launch

Ages: Participants must be between 8 and 15yo. Parents/Guardians must stay on property throughout the program and provide a cell phone number upon arrival
