This fun, engaging class is designed to introduce kids to the sport of kayaking! We will meet at the kayak launch at Lake Haigler and start by fitting everyone with appropriate gear. We will discuss how to choose a safe kayaking location based on your ability, demonstrate how to maneuver safely and effectively, and how to get in and out of your boat. Once we’re out on the water we will cover some basic paddling techniques. Water bottle and close toed shoes required.

• Ages: Ages 8 to 15. (All participants must have a guardian stay on property during the program and provide a cell phone number upon arrival.)

Programs are rain or shine, except for severe weather. If we cancel due to severe weather, we will provide a full refund. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, we will provide a refund. If you cancel with less than 48 hour notice, you will not be eligible for a refund or the option to reschedule.
