All participants and guardians must have their own bike in good working order and a properly fitting helmet. Please note: if the child’s helmet does not fit properly (wrong size, broken straps, etc.), they will not be able to participate. A parent or guardian must be present in the area and must be on the trail on a bike for trail riding portion of the program, which is approximately the last 30 minutes.

Have fun while learning about safety and being a courteous trail user. Youth clinics are for children with limited or no trail riding experience. Children ages 13 and older with previous trail experience may want to consider our Beginner 1 Clinics.

To get the most from this program, child should already be able to:

• Put on own helmet correctly
• Ride in a straight line on a field or paved area
• Operate brakes
• Ride without training wheels

Skills covered in this program may include

• Body position for balance
• Using brakes for control and special situations
• Using gears (if bike has them)
• Sighting on the trail

Programs are rain or shine, except for severe weather. If we cancel due to severe weather, we will provide a full refund. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, we will provide a refund. If you cancel with less than 48 hour notice, you will not be eligible for a refund or the option to reschedule.
