The Plastic Problem – A Discussion

September 29, 2020
9:00 am
- 10:00 pm

By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by weight. Want to learn more about how you can do your part, even if you’re not on the coast?

Join us for a special presentation on one of the greatest threats facing the natural world today – – plastic pollution. Hear from local and regional experts about this growing environmental crisis and what you can do now to protect our ecosystems, as well as our own health and wellness. We will hear from Kelly Thorvalson, Conservation Programs Manager at the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston, SC., and John Searby, Executive Director of Catawba Riverkeeper.

We invite you to watch this free piece produced by PBS in advance of our presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RDc2opwg0I. We hope you will join us to learn more and ask some great questions!
