Volunteer Blitz

April 13
10:00 am
- 3:00 pm

The Anne Springs Close Greenway announces its first-ever Volunteer Blitz event, scheduled for Saturday, April 13. This exciting initiative aims to bring together community members for a day of hands-on service to enhance the beauty of the Greenway and contribute to the organization’s mission.

Volunteers are invited to join the Volunteer Blitz during two convenient time slots: 10:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm. Participants may sign up for one session, or both. As a token of appreciation, the Gateway Canteen will provide a 15% discount card to all registered participants (to be redeemed on the day of the event).

The Volunteer Blitz is a unique opportunity for individuals and groups to actively contribute to the Anne Springs Close Greenway’s mission of conservation, education and low-impact outdoor recreation. By combining efforts on multiple projects, the goal is to make a significant impact on various initiatives in a single sweep.

Volunteer opportunities at the Blitz include:

  • Litter Sweep: clean up designated areas on the property and contribute to the Greenway’s trash tally.
  • Crandall Bowles Children’s Farm: participate in painting, building projects and cleanup to prepare the farm for opening on April 20.
  • Greenway Horse Stables: engage in painting projects, tack room organization and arena cleanup.
  • Lake Haigler Entrance: Assist in cleaning up old campsites, disassembling kayak racks, painting projects, trail work, and organizing the kayak shed.

The Volunteer Blitz is open to Greenway members and the public. Join us on April 13 as we come together to make a lasting difference on the Anne Springs Close Greenway.
