Preschool Community Program- Lighting Bugs

Aug 7 , 2017

Join us at the Anne Springs Close Greenway every first and third Monday at 10am for our community preschool programs. Preschoolers will do nature themed literature activities, crafts, hikes, and use their imaginations!

This program is geared for children ages 2-5 years old and must have a parent or guardian present throughout the program. While we encourage every member of the family to attend these programs, please note that due to uneven terrain and roots and rocks, our trails are often unsuitable for strollers, so any young children will either need to walk by themselves or be carried.

Programs will last about an hour. This program is free to members, $5 entry fee for non-members.

You know it’s summer when you start to see the little flashes of light darting around your yard at night. Lightning bugs are fascinating and fun little creatures that help liven up our summer. Come join us to learn all about them and even make your own lightning bug to take home! Make sure you bring a flashlight to this program so you can be a lightning bug on our hike!
