The National Wildlife Federation’s Great American Campout unites campers across the country, and the Anne Springs Close Greenway^℠ will host a local group campout event to celebrate the occasion.

What to Expect

Did someone say, “S’mores?” Greenway staff will have guided activities, such as fishing, archery, kayaking, mountain bike rentals, and night hikes. Campers will also have access to the fort-building area and the gaga ball pit! We will guide night hikes and dinner will be provided by the Gateway Canteen (all-beef hotdogs with baked beans, potato salad and chips) with s’mores for dessert!

In the morning, join us for Rise and Shine Yoga for adults and wagon rides for kids. Bring your own breakfast, but we’ll make the coffee. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are always welcome, but please clean up after your pup. Always Leave No Trace when enjoying nature.

• When: Check in June 22 from 2-4pm. Check out June 23 by 10am.
• Ages: All ages
• Cost: $32 per person, 20% discount for members. Children ages 3 and younger free but dinner will not be provided. If you would like dinner for your children under 3, please include them in your registration count.
• Fires: We will provide communal firepits but you are welcome to bring your own as long as it is supported off the ground. No outside firewood allowed. We will provide all firewood!
• Tent camping only. No campers, trailers, or RVs are allowed.
• No outside alcohol or glass containers allowed.

Please provide a valid email address at registration as this is how we will contact you with details or changes of the program. Programs are rain or shine, except for severe weather. If we cancel due to severe weather, we will provide a full refund. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, we will provide a refund. If you cancel with less than 48 hour notice, you will not be eligible for a refund.
