Kick Off Spring at Anne Springs Close Greenway

The Anne Springs Close Greenway is buzzing with excitement as it announces a thrilling Spring Kick Off weekend, highlighted by the grand opening of the Schroering Forest Playground on Saturday, March 30. Made possible by the vision and generosity of Marty and Vesime Schroering, this natural playscape aligns with the Greenway’s mission to provide outdoor recreation opportunities for all ages. For more details on the Schroering Forest Playground, please see the accompanying release.

In addition to the grand opening, the weekend will feature a Spring Artisan Market and family-friendly activities. Festivities commence with the Spring Artisan Market, a vibrant open-air market featuring 70 local vendors showcasing arts, crafts and more. Shoppers can indulge in retail therapy while savoring bites and beverages from the Gateway Canteen (breakfast served 7:30am-10:00am, limited lunch/dinner menu served 11:00am-8:00pm). The Greenway Gateway (visitor’s center) will be open for those interested in learning more about Greenway trails, activities and memberships.

The Spring Kick Off will also feature children’s activities, bubble-infused music from a live DJ, and a photo booth with special guests from the forthcoming Crandall Bowles Children’s Farm.

On the following day, Sunday, March 31, the celebration continues with a delectable brunch at the Gateway Canteen from 9:00am to 1:45pm. Reservations are required for this buffet of sweet and savory favorites.

Don’t miss this opportunity to welcome Spring with family-friendly activities, local art and craftsmanship, delicious food, and the unveiling of the much-anticipated Schroering Forest Playground.
