Greenway Hosts 12th Year of Music, Brews & BBQ at the Fiddle n’ Pig Shindig on Sept. 9th
FORT MILL, S.C., July 25, 2017— Back for the 12th year, the Anne Springs Close Greenway's annual barbeque and bluegrass festival, the Fiddle 'n Pig Shindig, brings together some of the Carolinas' best bluegrass and folk music talent and an array of regional barbeque purveyors and other food trucks for one full day of music, brews and 'cue. The festival starts at 11a.m. and lasts until 9p.m. on Saturday, September 9th. This year’s musical line-up includes BackPorch Bluegrass, the Hinson Girls, Colby Deitz Band, Blue Wheel Drive, Underhill Rose, Time Sawyer, and Grandpa’s Cough Medicine. Music only tickets will be available at the gate for $10 each and ages 14 and under receive free entry.
Returning this year is the Shindig Biergarten and Grand Tasting, giving brew aficionados a chance to sample a roundup of the region’s best craft beer featuring more than 40 unique tastings and highlighting breweries such as Quest Brewing Company, Hi-Wire Brewing, Bold Rock Cidery, Lonerider, Legal Remedy Brewing, Stone Brewing, Catawba Brewing Co., Southern Barrel Brewing Co. and Green Man Brewery, with more to be announced. The Grand Tasting will take place on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 until 6:00p.m. Advance pricing is $25 per person until August 1, $30 per person until September 8, or $40 the day of the event.

New this year is the addition of the exclusive V.I.Pig ticket. Limited to 100 passes, V.I.Pigs will receive entry to the festival and Biergarten, gain early access to the Biergarten an hour before public, a deluxe plate of BBQ with all the fixin’s from Red Oak BBQ & Catering, 2017 event t-shirt and commemorative tasting glass, and exclusive access to the V.I.Pig tent next to the PuckerButt Pepper Co. stage. Advance pricing is $75 per person until August 1; $85 per person until September 8; or $100 the day of the event.
For those looking to extend the fun, tent camping will be available by the Graham Cabin near festival grounds. For $20 per site, campers can enjoy ‘Picking on the Porch’ until 10p.m. and a community campfire until 11p.m. Spots are limited, to reserve call 803-548-7252.
This event is rain or shine. No outside food, coolers, alcohol or glass allowed. Dogs on six-foot leashes are welcome to attend. The Fiddle ‘n Pig Shindig is among the Greenway’s signature events, inviting the public to celebrate the season, the outdoors and the greater community.
