Sixth Annual Summer Concert Series Returns to the Anne Springs Close Greenway

13 Concerts Each Thursday, June through August

FORT MILL, S.C., May 12, 2018 -  The Anne Springs Close Greenway is excited to announce the sixth annual return of the Greenway Summer Concert Series, featuring 13 Thursday evening concerts from June through August. Each evening will provide visitors with a chance to enjoy delicious food trucks and to unwind while listening to some of the region’s most popular bands.

Concerts will take place in the Comporium Amphitheater, a popular Greenway venue that features lawn-style seating beneath a shady tree canopy. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with music beginning at 6:30 p.m. This summer’s lineup will feature Next Level (June 7), Colby Dietz Band (June 14), HC Oakes (June 21), Big Break (June 28), Sulkes Band (July 5), Jazz Revolution (July 12), Chunky Daddy (July 19), Diamonds & Whiskey (July 26), Mr. Nigel and Friends (August 2), Party Parrot Band (August 9), Triple Play (August 16), Todd Johnson & the Revolvers (August 23) and Fantasy (August 30).

“The Greenway Summer Concert Series has grown exponentially since it began six years ago, and we are excited to welcome back a few crowd favorites, as well as new groups to the series line-up,” said Mina McLean MacDonald, Community Events Coordinator. “Averaging 1,000 attendees, the weekly concerts provide the perfect backdrop for families and friends to enjoy good music in a beautiful natural setting.”

The first concert will feature Charlotte based band Next Level and will also be Greenway Member Appreciation Night. Food will be sold by New Wrap Order, Fresh Med, Red Oak Barbeque & Catering, Jive Turkey Legs, Mysausagebuddy, My Popcorn Heaven, Two Chicks and A Truck and Lil Orbits Mini Donuts. The first 500 Greenway members to enter will receive a special giveaway.

All attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and picnics for their enjoyment. Each concert will be free for Greenway members and $5 per person for non-members. Special event parking is $5 per car, with seasonal special event parking passes available for purchase at $30 for members and $45 for non-members.

Concerts take place at Comporium Amphitheater, 291 Dairy Barn Lane, Fort Mill S.C. Beer, wine and soda will be available for purchase. No glass or outside alcohol will be allowed.
