Crandall Bowles Children's Farm

An 18-Acre Flagship Destination for Daily Visitors and School Groups Opening April 20

The Crandall Bowles Children’s Farm serves as an educational destination for families, field trips and animal lovers of all ages. Come see the ducks, alpacas, goats, cattle, horses and more while learning about South Carolina farming.

Named in honor of Crandall Close Bowles, former CEO of Springs Industries and daughter of Anne Springs Close, this new flagship destination offers a unique blend of education and exploration for visitors of all ages. Integrating the former petting zoo and adding a pastoral habitat, observation areas for various animals, a half-mile loop trail, gathering lawn, educational garden, and open-air learning center, the Children's Farm aims to provide daily interpretation and demonstrations on a variety of topics in an immersive learning environment.

Rooted in historical significance with stables dating back to before the Greenway's official opening in 1995, the Farm is also the location of the Historic Tack Shed. Built in approximately 1885, the Tack Shed is the oldest existing structure of the Springs Farm and is representative of the early farm culture in the community.
