Kayaks & Paddle Boards

Kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding are popular activities at the Anne Springs Close Greenway.

Rules & Guidelines

  • Bring your own kayaks and stand-up paddle boards to unload by use of boat ramps at Lake Crandall. Boats can be walked to Stumpy Pond and to the Lake Haigler Kayak Launch at the Lake Haigler Entrance.
  • During the winter months, visitors are welcome to bring their own non-motorized boats for use on the Greenway lakes. 
  • Gas-powered boat motors are prohibited on the Greenway.
  • No reservations required. Boats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, Saturdays & Sundays from Memorial Day weekend through October, 9:00am. - 5:00pm. 

Rentals

  • Kayak and stand-up paddle board rentals are available at Lake Haigler beginning Saturday, May 25th.
  • Rentals are available on weekends from 9:00am – 5:00pm from Memorial Day weekend through October on a first-come, first-served basis. Paddles and life jackets are provided.

*Please note that we are currently trialing two paddle boards so rentals are limited.

1 Hour: Non-member $10** per person | Member $5 per person

Tandem Kayak Rental

1 Hour: Non-member $10** per person | Member $5 per person

 **There is an additional $5 Greenway entry fee to non-members

Fishing

Fishing clinics are offered throughout the year to the public. Fishing is offered exclusively to Greenway members at the Anne Springs Close Greenway. Lakes Haigler, Crandall, Frances and Katherine and Stumpy Pond are stocked with bass and catfish. 

Rules & Guidelines

  • Use of live minnows as bait is prohibited; minnows that escape and mature into shad reduce the quality of the fish population. All bass smaller than 12 inches in length must be released; please keep all bream that are caught.
  • Fishing is restricted to members only, and a South Carolina fishing license is required.
  • There is no fee for members to fish.

Trail Status

Horse, Hike and Bike trails are open. Lake Frances and Lake Katherine are closed to all water activities. Dog park trails remain closed.
