Fees: 

  • 1 day/week class - $60 per month

  • 2 day/week class - $120 per month

  • (Complex Members receive a $10 discount)

Class Registration:

All students must register at the Complex Member Services Desk each month. Class spots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.  You must be registered to attend any class. Checks made out to LSC.

Momentum Dance

Momentum Dance specializes in all levels of dance from beginner to adult, offering programs in all dance genres (ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, tap) designed for recreational dancers, as well as those who desire to make dance their profession. The college trained faculty at Momentum Dance will provide a well-rounded curriculum in a nurturing atmosphere that foster self expression through dance. Ages 4 through adult.

2017-18 Registration Dates:
Saturday, July 29th 10a.m.-2p.m.
Saturday, August 19th 10a.m.-2p.m.
Saturday, August 26th 10a.m.-2p.m.

2017-18 classes begin September 5th.

About Momentum Dance

Leroy Springs & Co. is pleased to partner with Amelia Binford (Momentum Dance), to provide dance instruction at the Recreation Complex on the Greenway. We’re thrilled to have Amelia back in Fort Mill, as she is uniquely qualified to operate our program. 

Amelia holds a BA in Dance Performance, Winthrop University as well as a K-12 Dance Certification, Winthrop University. Her performance experiences ranges from the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra to Theater Charlotte, Rhythm Quest (Winthrop Dance Theater) and Dance Caravan USA.

Most recently Amelia was the Dance Educator for the Northwest School of the Arts (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools) for 10 years (Modern, Jazz, Tap Dance). Her instruction nexperience includes Davidson College, Eddie Mabry Talent, Charlotte School of Ballet, Sullivan Dance of Rock Hill and Elite Performing Arts Company of Gastonia.

She has extensive choreogaphy experience and received awards for Metrolina Theater, Outstanding Choreographer in a Drama; Semi-Finalist, Fox Television Network, “So You Think You Can Dance” and Guest Artist in Residence, Winthrop University.

Cheer Jewels

Cheer Jewels is a competitive cheerleading program designed to develop fitness, confidence and team unity in girls ages four to 14 years old. Children of all ability levels are welcome and will be placed on a team based on age group and skill level. No prior experience is required. This is a great way for your child to prepare for school cheerleading or dance team tryouts!

Monthly tuition includes tumbling, stunting and choreography lessons taught by Kendall Hardwick, former Clemson University cheerleader. To register, call the Recreation Complex at 803-547-4575.

2016-17 Season begins Monday, August 8th. Registration ends September 20th. 

A $35 registration fee is due at the time of registration and all cheerleaders must be registered prior to participating. The registration fee is nonrefundable. 

Registration fee includes $7 participant insurance. ($28 registration fee if insurance is already paid this season).

Monthly Tuition Fee:
Monthly auto draft required when registering.
Ages 4-5 $70/month (Complex members receive a $15 discount)
Ages 6 & up $80/month (Complex members receive a $15 discount)
*$10 off for each additional sibling registered.

Birthday Cut Off:  August 31, 2016
Ages 4-5: Mondays 4:30-5:15pm; limited to 20 girls.
Ages 6-11: Mondays 5:15-6:15pm; Tuesdays 5:00-6:30pm (Sept.-Dec.)
Ages 6-11: Mondays 7:15-8:15pm

Level 2: Must have stand-alone back hand spring to participate in Level 2 practices/squad.
Ages 12-14: Mondays 7:15-8:15pm; Tuesdays 6:30-8:00pm (Sept.-Dec.)

NOTE: Team layout is tentative and coaches have final decision on squad placement.

Karate

For self defense, sport, fitness and fun, try this ancient martial art. Learn body movement and control involving the skilled application of punches, kicks, blocks and dodges with the hands and feet. Start working on achieving your black belt now. Charles Lingerfelt’s American Freestyle Karate Club was established in 1976 and is the oldest American Freestyle Karate Club in the United States. Taught by Koyshi Charles Lingerfelt.

Boxing


If you are between the ages of 5 and 99, seriously interested in boxing and willing to train hard, this program may be right for you.

The boxing program teaches discipline and respect in a structured environment by Edward Jones, member of USA Boxing and operator of Jones Hands On Academy. 

You will learn the fundamentals of the sport while enhancing your physical fitness, self- confidence, self-discipline and pride.

 Ages 6-12. Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm
FEE: $65/month (Complex members receive $15 discount)
