Sixth Annual Boil & Brew Returns on October 26th

Celebrate Fall with a Carolina Lowcountry Boil, Local Craft Beer & Live Music

The Colonel’s Club Boil & Brew combines delicious Carolina fare, craft beer, festival vibes and fall weather for a can’t-miss community experience. Tickets are now available for the Anne Springs Close Greenway fundraising event planned for Saturday, October 26 from 3-8pm at the Greenway’s Lake Haigler entrance, featuring an authentic Lowcountry boil elevated by craft beer pairings from local breweries and some of the region’s best musicians. Tickets are available at $60 each, which includes an all-you-can-eat Lowcountry boil and two beer tickets. Live music will play throughout the day beginning with Kris Hitchcock followed by acclaimed Americana band, Chatham County Line.

New to the 2024 Boil & Brew is a VIP experience featuring a traditional family-style Lowcountry Boil, as well as opportunities to sample local craft beer. The VIP experience will begin at 3pm with a Meet & Greet with Chatham County Line, including featured appetizers for ticketholders and an exclusive opportunity to meet and chat with members of the nationally recognized band. VIP tickets also include private seating for table service and craft beer flights (redeemable for two beer tickets). Tickets to the VIP experience cost $100 each and include exclusive access to VIP lawn area and bar, as well as parking and general admission.

With the Lowcountry boil prepared by local seafood purveyor, Saltwater Markets, the Boil & Brew will boast fresh Carolina shrimp caught from the coastal waters near Beaufort, Fripp Island and Hunting Island. White shrimp caught in the fall are the most seasonally preferred shrimp for Lowcountry boils. Elevate the meal with delicious craft beer pairings from some of York County’s best. This year’s participating breweries feature York County’s most popular beer purveyors, including Amor Artis Brewing, Legal Remedy Brewing, Untamed Waters Brewing, and more to be announced.

The Greenway’s premier family friendly fundraising event will offer special Halloween-themed children’s activities this year, as well as disc golf provided by Innova, lawn games, hay bale maze, reptile encounters and access to the new Schroering Forest Playground. Children’s tickets are available starting at $20 (ages 4 and under free.) The Gateway Canteen will be open for additional food selections throughout the evening.

The Colonel’s Club, a men’s philanthropic and social group that aims to support and promote the Anne Springs Close Greenway through a variety of engaging social, philanthropic and volunteer activities, hosts the fundraising event annually with proceeds historically benefiting the Greenway Summer Camps program. In the last three years, the club has pledged funds raised toward the newly opened Mountain Bike Skills Park which aims to provide campers, youth, and biking enthusiasts of all ages and skill level a place to hone their skills.

“The Colonel’s Club is proud to have helped fundraise for one of the Greenway’s newest recreational amenities,” said John Gordon, CEO of Leroy Springs & Co., and Executive Director of the Anne Springs Close Greenway. “The Skills Park will enhance membership and provide another opportunity to engage youth and adults in outdoor recreation activities. Events like the Boil & Brew help to make improvements like this possible, and the skills park has been well received by our summer camp community and membership at large.”

Event sponsors include BNA CPAs and BNA Wealth, Boykin Property Group, Carolinas Financial Planning – David Bowman Wealth Management, Cygnus Asset Management, Epps Orthodontics, New South Family Medicine and Saltwater Markets. About Anne Springs Close Greenway
Nestled amid beautiful lakes and hardwood forests, the Anne Springs Close Greenway is a natural preserve more than twice the size of Central Park. Minutes south of Charlotte in Fort Mill, SC, its 2,100 acres serve as a natural buffer from urban development and provide a wide-open space for countless activities – from hiking, biking and horseback riding to picnics, kayaking and more. The land has ties to the Catawba Indians and the Civil War and has been permanently preserved for public use. The children of Anne Springs Close donated the land in honor of her lifelong commitment to recreation and the environment to provide a natural landscape for the community to enjoy. The Greenway contains native plants and animals, historic buildings, a 40-mile network of trails, Greenway Gateway welcome center and facilities for weddings and other special events. As a non-profit organization, it depends on memberships, program fees, as well as private donations to support annual operations. The Greenway is owned and operated by Leroy Springs & Company Inc., a 501(c)3 organization that receives no government funding for its ongoing operations and programs.
